Part time conversion kit...

Howdy.

Couple of questions...

1: Are a standard 10 bolt front axle, and 12 bolt rear axle, stout enough to handle mild 4 wheeling with 35 inch tires?

2: Beside's Mile Marker, are there any other companies that make a 4x2 conversion kit for the NP203? My searches have turned up zilch. I'm really starting to hate Googgle!

Thanx
Kevin

Re: Part time conversion kit...

I think Mile marker bought the original Nash conversion kit and are the only one...

"mild 4 wheeling" can mean a lot to different people. I think that you would be ok until you start spinning tires in 4WD and getting any air... the entire drivetrain is something to think about. u-joints, driveshaft etc....

You can go for it and when things break just upgrade them to 1 ton Dana 60 and 14bolt rear.

Yes Superwinch makes an awesome kit, it's #900802 includes lockout hubs for 1/2 ton Chevy. They had just the kit for the transfer case, it was #900801 but I think they stopped making it. Hope this helps!!!
