What brand of tires

My 65 has a set of Michelin 235/75R15 LTX on it but the sidewalls are starting to crack so need to be replaced. Looked at a set of Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza plus or a set of BFG T/A Radial in a 235/70R15. Many choices out there. Would like to stick with this tire size as don't want to change out my steelie wheels. What brand tires are other guys using now and have had good luck on their trucks. Wanting a comfortable quiet ride.

Re: What brand of tires

I'm a huge fan of BFG TA Radials! Have them on my truck now and have run them since 1985

I would think that what you used the truck for would make a difference especially up there in Canada. Those Michelins would be what I'd keep if it were a daily driver.

Basically a daily driver until the snow hits and then take it off the road. Have our 3000# house trailer like to tow a few times and has a cap on it so it gets the call for the swap meets as well

Re: What brand of tires

I've had really good luck with Firestone Destination AT tires. Good handling, ride, and traction. They aren't a real aggressive AT tire, so they could go on anything.

Had a set a BFG Trail T/A on my wife's SUV. They had excellent traction and wore like iron.

Re: What brand of tires

Friend has a set of Cooper Cobra radial GT. Fronts are 235/60R15 and rear are 275/60R15 but are on the car 5 bolt 8" rally wheel . My truck has the Blazer 15x8 steel wheels. Wondering if anybody has used these sizes before I dismount and change them over. Good deal on them as he sold car. Opinions?
