Full circle - PO1 full wheel covers on factory steel wheels

I've had this truck for 25 years next summer. In that time it's only had the rally wheels I bought it with and a set of 15x8 torque thrusts that I mounted in 1998. I have always wanted to find a good set of PO1 full wheel covers and mount them on factory 15x7 steel wheels, as it was optioned from the factory. I finally got it done. Ironically the wheel covers cost more and were much harder to find than the set of wheels or set of tires LOL.

Full circle

Back in the day hardly any trucks were kept with there stock tires
And much of the time were lowered when new tire/wheels
We’re install

These days it’s not to often you see a stock
Paint scheme with stock wheels
And lowered

Wheels were one of the first item’s that we’re changed along with radios with speakers in the doors and steering wheels
I really like the stock stance also

You can't go wrong with original on these trucks. People may fall in love with these trucks through the customs they see these days, but those only look so good because of the styling of the truck they started out with. You change color, wheels, or any other detail and a person could ask "Why did you do that?" or whatever. And you could even look at a later date and question whether you still like it, if it was the right way to go, or is all you did too much or would other wheels look better, etc. You leave it stock and if someone asks "Why did you do that color?", those wheels, or anything else and your answer is simple "That's how it came" or "That's original".

You know it's funny, having bought this truck when I was 14...I have been through most of the common changes and all the way back again. Big stereo, interior, whiz-bang chrome engine bay with headers. All of it has been returned to an original look. Thank the Lord my good ole' Dad talked me out of painting it white, shaving the trim and such all those years ago.

Very nice truck and great move on going with the PO1's.
That is similar to the look that I am moving towards myself.....next will be the whitewalls in place of the raised white letter stuff.

I have my P01's mounted on 15 x 7 rally wheels and they hold great.
