I have a bunch of lifts at work. Thats how I got it off. Im going to put the weathersripping and glass back in now, while I can walk around it, than get it up on the lift and roll the chassis underneath. My father just bought some of those car dollies. I may have to steal them so when I lower the cab down I can center the chassis to the cab easily underneath.

Nice Build! Love your truck and the fact that you kept the L6.
I see you painted the top of the dash black. IMO looks so much better that way and keeps the originality.

Nice work

Re: 1969 Olive Stepper

Thanks guys. Had a Bday party for my Nephew tonight. But that diodnt stop me from sneaking in the garage when I got home. Got some odds and ends done. Back windows In, started assembling the firewall and dash, and door latches. Gonna add the drivers weatherstrip, windshield, and speaker, than popping it back on it rightful home.

Re: 1969 Olive Stepper

Quick question, how did you get the inside around the doors painted? Were they painted separate then mounted? I see that you had the inside all taped off. I'm not sure the best way to get it all painted? I do like the idea of painting the doors already aligned and mounted to the cab.

Theres two ways to do that.

I speceifically sked to have the doors paint on the cab. So he sprayed the inside one day including the doors and the next day he masked off the interior and sprayed the outside.

Or... After you have your doors aligned drill two 1/8" holes through the hinge into the pillar (Top and bottom) Than remove the doors for paint. I like to weld an 1/8 rod to the hinge with a "pin" sticking out about 1/4". Than when everythings painted you simply align the pins to the hols and tighten the doors.

BC/CC ppg stuff. He showed me alot of the products he was using as he went along. I know he was using some very good prep products and a specific clear. Not stuff that he uses everyday becasue of the cost, but stuff he felt was way superior and would give a better result. I wish I could remember the name of any of it!

He really did a great job getting it all straightened and painted.

Hope to get it running tonight. Everything is hooked up. Anyone know how to manually "pre-fill" the fuel bowl on a monojet without removing the fuel line and making a mess?
