Ok Tony and Eric, SEMA is over and you two have been "collecting parts" for almost a year now.

What's up with this one?

I'm excited , I laid out all the parts and it looks like the drop for the rear is all there. 5/7 with a c notch. Nothing crazy just a super solid driver ...

Re: Goldfinger nachos big brother

Guys I'll be posting updates this Saturday. I had very limited time this week. but as far as the drop that we're using. we have a 5/7 drop from early classic. 2"lowering blocks c-notch, the front is lowered spindles with 6 lug rotors so we can keep the rear end posi in place with out any modification. the whole thought is to take it one step at a time. suspension first , 3 on the tree swap to a th400 automatic . new one piece drive shaft, power steering ,power brakes. can't forget the tilt... at that point its all about the cosmetics. all brand new interior. some new some refurbished. wheels..... i'm thinking smooth and 20" on each corner... I'll have to see how the original wheels look too. Either way it'll be low and sleek.... see ya on Saturday....

Re: Goldfinger nachos big brother

Wheel thoughts.... That will be the last step before this is ready to roll out. Keep in mind this whole idea was to keep the budget realistic , something that just about anyone could build. $$$ with out breaking the bank.... We're still on target....

Re: Goldfinger nachos big brother

One other wheel idea would be the 22" GM Transit wheels since you are keeping the 6 lug. Those can be had for about $550-$650 a set. That keeps the $$$ realistic...

I am with you on the sequence and your 1 step at a time approach...

Sorry for the thread hijack. Not my intent. Got my own going. Just wanted to share with a fellow Camper Remover Specialist.

By the way, awesome build on Goldfinger. Love it.
