Fixable ?

Got a hood thats in pretty good shape as far as rust, but there is a crease on the passenger side front
i could probably build it up with weld and grind down

also has a place in very back in middle that has been pushed down, im thinking of adding a third brace between the original two , put a piece of foam in there to keep the shape

am looking for ideas

Thanks

Re: Fixable ?

That doesn't look too bad. You probably know they make and sell both Upper and lower front sections of the hood. I had mine replaced.

Re: Fixable ?

Why not just use a good body filler for that small ding.

Re: Fixable ?

Easy fix. Using a grinder cutting wheel cut out a slot, the width of blade, along the red line. Then use a chisel or screw driver to work the metal back up and open to the seam. Once you have the seam straight weld the slit back.
