Pretty sure no disrespect was/intended. Not everybody frequents or visits instagram. If TX didn't want he pics seen, he wouldn't post them on the net. I know what the truck looks like & only acknowledge the info TX opts to share & that's all I've seen these other guys do.

Thanks SCOTI, that sums it up the way I see it as well. I don't think it's any secret that much of the membership here uses FB and Instagram to post progress. It's referenced here often.

Truth be told, it's a lot easier and faster to post pics with a few clicks on our smartphones to FB and Instagram. I have been guilty of it myself. Most of the time you can kill two birds with one stone by posting on Instagram and having it linked to your FB page and Twitter account.

Here is where the truck sits currently. Honestly I'm flat out of money. Still need tires installed, driveshaft built, exhaust built, and rear bumper built. But, I'm faced with braces x2 daughters right now plus some other unexpected expenses so truck money has fallen off the radar. I don't do credit, only cash.

Forgot to add, the reason I've pulled away from this thread is kind of personal. I had a vision of this truck in my head. I knew my vision wouldn't go over well and I'd have a lot of folks second guessing me each step of the way. I had to build it privately without a lot of input from others to see if my vision would stand the test. Whether it does or not, that will remain to be seen. But, I built what I had in my head without being swayed much during the process. That in itself was fulfilling. Ultimately, each man expends the work and money to build his truck. He needs to build it true to himself.

I think it's awesome, kudos to you for staying true to your vision. That is what makes the automotive hobby so great. If everybody built the same 55 Chevy or pro-touring 69 Camaro it would be very boring!

First off, your truck looks great! my new favorite square stepper. Great to see it in color. I think the blue is super cool. I had it pegged as light yellow, but hey it's all good.
I'm totally with you on the credit thing. I did my truck complete without borrowing a dollar. I only had to finance one set of braces. Darn teeth get expensive.

Your vision is spot on. I'm glad you stuck with your idea for it. I can't tell you how many times people say but you could do this or do that....In the end it's your baby. Do it how you want. Kuddos for sticking to your guns.

Kevin, from what I have seen of your work you aren't afraid to go your own way whether someone else likes it or not. I couldn't imagine this truck being any different. As long as you like it, anyone else who doesn't can go pound sand. For the record, I dig it.

Man I think I speak for most of us but we respect your vision. If you built it your way and you are happy then why would we not be happy as well? Sure there will be some input from those that just don't get it but who cares really. Your truck your way. Truck looks killer. Still one of the best builds on this board.! Bar none. I've got my favorites and this one is by far one of the tops.

Truck looks great and you are so close. You have tires on it, run with it. Driveshaft might be tricky, maybe the local guys can help you out? You've given alot back to the community, someone must be able to help out. Rear bumper, well who really NEEDS a rear bumper? Kidding. Forgo the morning coffee for a week and hit your local wrecking yard? Or even Craigs? I know you're a resourceful guy and can get it done!

No I didn't fix the dent in the fender that's behind the bumper area. I went Honey Badger on that kind of stuff.

But I did take the body parts down to bare metal inside and out. Then epoxy primer and bodywork and paint from there.
