1962 Chevy C10 Glove Box Reassemble

Alright guys, I'm drawing a major brain fart. I ordered a new glove box insert and am ready to put it back in. I can get the insert in, but I can't figure out for the life of me how the door goes back on. I feel like it is really easy and I am just missing something. What am I doing wrong???

There is a bracket that you are missing. It goes around the cardboard glove box and attaches to the door.

That was my gut reaction. Which piece though? I looked up LMC Truck and I don't see the part I'm missing.

That pic from the LMC catalog doesn't really show it too clearly.
I've got one on a glove box door I just picked up if yours is totally MIA.
$15 plus the ride.

The frame is not shown in that exploded view. I do not think that piece is available from the aftermarket. Was the frame not there previously?

Do you have a picture? I'd like to scour the garage for it first to really make sure it is MIA. Then, if I can't find it, I'll paypal you for the part.

It was all there previously and the glove box worked. I didn't throw anything away except the old insert. I have to have it somewhere I would imagine. I just need an image to remember what I am looking for.

Tester,

Are you sure that's not a GMC door? Here's a picture of the '61 glove box installation:

It is the same door. Mine's just "aged." LOL.

Not the best pic, but you can see the frame installed here.

You can see where the glovebox insert fits into the frame, the three tabs hold it in place.

Ok, I've scoured my garage. I must have tossed it. Very unfortunate. I'll buy yours if it is still available.

Re: 1962 Chevy C10 Glove Box Reassemble

when you get it, it has been my experience on removal, and install, to leave the bracket and door attached to the glove box, and then remove/install the entire unit.
