newbie here
Hi Guys
Im retired from the GM truck plant in Flint and Pontiac Mi. Hired in the plant in 1977, retired in 2008. I have been looking for a 67-72 pick up. I have found one down in SC, have a friend who owns a shop down there take a look at it. Need paint and a new seat. It has a 350 with auto trans. No air, I would like to add air since the truck will live in Michigan. I have done about ten restorations from a model T, model A, camera's, chevelle, quite a few mods to S-10 back in the day including cutting the roof off making them into removable hardtops. This summer I want to add air to this truck and disk brakes in the front. Anybody do a AC add on? I have seen the vintage AC kits. Looking forward to learning more about the 67-72 trucks. Avintage air conversion is easy. Also... you can make it look stock in the cab. VA has all the stuff to do it and its not that hard.

I put a nostalgia air system in my 68 c10 , very pleased with it and it was less than , vintage air , or old air

Welcome to the board Mike. Bet you've seen a lot of changes being in the plant that long! Always thought that would be a cool job. Good luck with your truck and be sure to post some pics when ya get it.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Looking forward to restoration on my truck. Lots to learn and lots to read still. If you guys have any questions on the 77 and up GM trucks feel free to ask, I worked on the line my whole 33 years at GM. Everything from the frame line, paint, chassis and final repair.

Welcome aboard Mike,
...ahhh... you wanna add AC to this truck which you're bringing back to MI? You must live in the warm side of that state,(..is there even a warm side in that state?).  I live in MT & have been racking my brain on after market cab heater systems that'll resemble something more like a "Sauna"... If I ever need AC, I simply shut off the heater & roll a window down.
