1971 Chevy C10 SWB - Elizabethtown, Ky

Purchased a few years ago and just enjoyed driving it. It was always the intent to tear down and restore and here is the progress. As I have more time than money and a very willing father to help me being that he is one of the best around and has done several cars for himself over the years. So here it is and I hope you enjoy... Obviously got the instruction manual as a visual aid for going back together and a few picks of the before...

Re: 1971 Chevy C10 SWB - Elizabethtown, Ky

Got rid of the gas cap door and decided to add a aluminum tank in the back. Along with some more gutting. Had to replace the cab corner mounts and some odd and end stuff in the floor.

Been awhile, time to get everyone caught up. At this point, doors were fitted and all the rough work was completed and cab floor epoxy primer.

Now for some fun stuff. I used all AN fittings for gas line front to back and for this external mounted tranny cooler. Thought it was a nice touch. Plus picked up this cool repop Caddy air cleaner.

Added a front sway bar and found on the info off a nice write up on this forum using a sway bar off an 86 model truck with the larger bushing.
Started taking the bed back apart.

Well, here is where I sit today. Finally got the forum updated with all the pics up to this point. Huge swap meet in Louisville this weekend. I am hoping to pick up some parts this weekend to continue on. Finally starting to look like a truck again.
