what size metal to build rear frame?

thinking about just going ahead and building my rear frame, an was wondering what size metal stock are u guys using out back to build your frames? im a newbie at this so sorry for all the questions..

I would have suggested the same but that usually leads to a bunch of people saying it is too weak etc etc.

.120 is too thin duh

anything less than .250 is going to snap and kill innocent people.

Trust me, I know.... seems that everybody thinks that if it sin't at least 3/8 thick it's not strong enough! LOL

2x4x.120 works for me, and this is exposed to a lot more stress than a street driven truck. A lot of it has to do with the competency level, engineering ability, and welding ability of the builder.

Same here, even Art Morrison chassis are 2x4x.120 wall.
