Not much. I got the deck lid on it and working on the engine. I'm Painting the inside of Gary's (the painter) garage with epoxy paint but we had to wash all of the walls and ceiling and prime everything before applying the epoxy. I have 2 or 3 more days of that before I can get back on the '36.

Thanks frog trucker, I could get a lot more done if there was two of me but I don't know of anyone in the world that wants to see that happen...

Haha, That's funny Jim. I was just thinking last night about posting an update on this and the '34. I am headed out to the shop right now but I will update it tonight. I may do the '34 in a separate thread though. I can't remember for sure if I posted anything on the '34 before or not but I think I did. I'll have to see if I can find it.

Just seen this build. I love it! I also have a 36 ford 5w coupe deluxe. It was my dads first car he bought in 64 in Sacramento. He gave it to me after my mother passed when I was 11. It's still 6volt, flathead, totally original!!

You have got to give us an update on this!!!!!!

Love the color too.

I thought I would update the '36 Ford rebuild since it has been 3 years since I posted on it. It was in limbo until last fall because I wanted my son to help me put it back together since he will end up with it. He was in Afganistan 2 years ago and last year I had the '69 Suburban project in the works and I wanted to get it finished up.. The pictures are pretty much self explanitory but if you have any questions on any of them post 'em up.

Since I am pretty much old school you won't see any high tech or bling in any of my builds. I build cruise night cars & trucks, no show quality stuff here. I drive my vehicles too much for that. So anyway we got the rebuilt 327 and Muncie 4 speed tranny bolted together and set in, replaced the front spring shackles, bolted the front clip back on it, and got the dash installed. The dash is exactly the same as it was in 1962 with the original Stewart Warner gauges I put in it back then. I will try to post updates on it as we progress on it. Sometimes it's hard for the boy to make it down since he can only come down on the weekends and he lives 60 miles away. While I'm waiting on him to make it down I have been working on the '34 Ford Coupe and I will have that thread moved over here and update it too.

Leon,I'm jealous of your ambition! I love that 36 but the 34 makes my heart throb. I can't wait to see both of these with your attention to details they will be sharp.

Thanks gents. I need to get the running boards re-covered and bolted on to tie the front and rear fenders together. I'm hoping the boy comes down next weekend to help work on it.

No updates on this since 2013… Wow!

Not much progress until the last couple of months though. My son bought a house and has been completely re-doing it. (not by choice)..

.. and I have been helping him on that. And now he will be going to Kuwait the end of September. This will be his second trip overseas. I decided to go ahead and finish the car since there isn’t a lot left to do on it. The last thing he helped me do was to install the top insert material. (first two pictures) I drove it down the road a couple of days ago and the radiator started leaking so I have to pull it back out and fix it. I have to finish wiring it and get the exhaust put on it and it will be drivable. It will be good to get it back on the road…..

EDIT: Forgot, I also have to put three pieces of stainless trim on each side of the hood but I have to get more trim clips before I can do that.

I took the radiator to a guy close to me to see if he can fix it. It was leaking from multiple places.....

... Love shifting that 4 speed.
