cool second time ive got a quote and not ment to
anyways,
0-1970
J-Janesville
153074-sequintal model number (53074 unit built)

to get the rest of the info you need the total vin, like off the cab or glovebox, like mine is:
K- 4 wheel drive
E- came with a V8
2- 3/4 ton
4- fleetside box
1- 1971
S-St. Louis
673757- 573757 unit built

im pretty sure that they started out with 100000 as first one built every year on the unit built number

Yes they only stamp part of the serial # on the frame on the top of frame right beside or behind a little of the steering box. Its on the top of frame. Randy

Like said on Driver side upper frame rail and upper frame right under cab,b both mine reside on 67 GMC frames which came without vin on the frame, which makes it nice when i moved here and had to go through inspection on my 69 they Motor Vehicles looked everywhere didnt see any signs of tampering and were mind boggled going by the book,i just acted like I have no clue?after about 30 minutes of crawling up and under they just passed me.
