Do you collect any 73-87 stuff?

I got to thinking today, I can't be the only one who collects 73-87 related stuff. A lot of the stuff I collect because I like that particular item, but I also buy quite a bit of stuff to add to 73-87.com. Some of the stuff I collect are die-cast, GM ads, dealership posters, pamphlets, vintage road test from older magazines, dealer books, models, hard to find parts, etc..

What do you collect or have?

Ken (kiilew), I hope you chime in here and tell us some of the stuff you hve in your stash!

Re: Do you collect any 73-87 stuff?

I picked up a complete NOS owner's glove box packet for my 74. It has the manual, New vehicle warranty registration (Not registered), Emissions information and maintenance schedule pamphlets. Also three different dealer's sales brochures for 74 pick-ups and a like new dealer's service manual for 74 pick-ups.

Wished I could find a die-cast or plastic model of a 73/78 long box but haven't yet....

And.....Three bedrooms full of SUPER nice used, New aftermarket and NOS parts for my project below.

Good thing I live alone in a BIG house.
Not planing on moving the lady friend in till my truck is back together.

Very cool dash emblems Wedge! Now you need to mont them on a nice board and hang it on the wall.

Rob, sounds like quite a stash! I remember when I had piles like that prior to my resto...

With a list of Trucks like that.....I wouldn't want your statements, It's bad enough with just one.

Re: Do you collect any 73-87 stuff?

I have a complete set of brouchures for 73-80 chevy trucks, some blazer and suburban for the same years. I also have collected a full set of service manuals and wiring diagrams from 73-82. I also have a huge collection of NOS trim and parts that I have picket up on eBay. I can almost do 1 and 1/2 trucks with the trim.

Re: Do you collect any 73-87 stuff?

If I started another collection of "stuff" my wifey might kill me. I've got a couple thousand hot wheels, 1/24 to 1/18 scale die cast cars, Model cars, 1/10 scale r/c cars and trucks. Add to that all the Chevy posters and other stuff I collected while at GM. Magazines by the boxfull. Hot Rod to 4wheeler dating back to the early 90's.

I'll add some 73-87 stuff as I find it to my hot wheels and die cast collection. Mostly the 73-87 stuff I'll collect is parts for my K5. gears, lockers, 14bolt, 6.0L LQ4 and the list goes on...

i bought some of those also. i took 2 of them apart and replaced the rear tires in one with the front of the other, that way it can lay out!

other than that, the only 73-87 related stuff would be parts...lots of parts

Re: Do you collect any 73-87 stuff?

After looking through those a bit, it looks like that dude's just buying Hot Wheels and adding the keychain part onto each one. I noticed after running across a few of those that I own.

Not a bad idea, actually.
