Rattle Can Paint
OK, so what is the very best quality "Rattle" can (aerosol) paint to use when restoring the small parts and pieces to my truck. After a good cleaning and primer that is.

Re: Rattle Can Paint
There's only one.
Spraymax. They have 2K urethane primer, epoxy and even 2K urethane clear. All others and not even close due to the technology in coatings.

Re: Rattle Can Paint
I have done some tests with the 2K primers and clears that were very impressive! They aren't cheap, but I will tell you what, they filled, didn't shrink, passed a lacquer thinner rub test in less than 24 hours, I cut and buffed the clear just like it was shot out of a gun.
It was Medallion brand. Brian

Re: Rattle Can Paint
I like the VHT brand paints. I have been using the satin chassis paint on small parts and like the color and protection.

Re: Rattle Can Paint
eBay anc Amazon if you are remote but your local body shop supply stores should have them. Try going on thier web site...they might have a list of stores. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding some.
A body shop store in your area might even have thier custom cans where they will load your custom color into them.

Re: Rattle Can Paint
I don't use rattle cans anymore. I bought a small detail style hvlp gun (already had a big compressor). Before that I used a Preval sprayer to shoot epoxy when needed. I know Eastwood makes 2k paints in a can now. I have yet to use one though. My brother just bought a couple cans of 2k Red engine paint. I'll post some pics once we get it painted if you would like.
