Been spending some time cutting and buffing the clear coat. Being almost a year old clear it takes a bit longer to remove all the wet sanding scratches but with a wool pad and mystic cut it cleans up.

Got the running lights going this afternoon. it's much easier to work on the lights without a windshield.

Running lights look great. Any advice on how to snake/run the wires? Was thinking about putting some running lights on the top of my cab. May not since I don't have the correct roof with the raised area around the lights.

That's a good question. The factory ran up the driver side windshield post. It may be tough to do with the roof skin on. Perhaps run a power lead around the inside windshield gasket and poke into the roof cavity beneath the gasket. Then drill the roof holes and fish the wire from there. Below I included some photos of how I ran the wires befor installing the original roof skin on the donor cab.

Another suggestion is to replace the roof skin since 98% of these trucks have rust issues up there but that's a lot more involved!

What an amazing undertaking. My hat is off to all your dedication and patience. I can easily relate to the frame problems, we see alot of snow and salt on the roads here and it really takes a toll on the frames not to mention the sheet metal. Really enjoyed the box progress shots, this thing should go into a museam. Looks like you got a great shop to work in also, keep up the good work and enjoy this beauty.

It's been a bit since I've posted anything but finally put a plow on the k10. It's a fisher 7.5' RD Minute Mount 2. Now just have to wait for some snow to push. Oh and yes I will eventually paint that box!

Well got the chance to use the plow tonight. It was a lot better than using a snowblower!
