Yep, same thing here but it mostly melted off today. For me it depends on when they start using the salt and brine....

It feels like it will be here before long. This year spring didn't want to come, then rain rain rain. We had an Indian summer but that went in a flash in the last couple weeks. It's down to freezing here tonight.

Another couple inches last night.. May be here to stay. They salted the roads the first time about 3 weeks ago. Roads were very icy.

We have been in single digit lows already. Didn't really have a fall here this year. Even the fall colors went from green to brown/gold and that was it. Might be a tough winter...

Re: Didn't i just get them out???

I started my teardown and prep for paint in April, thinking I could have the thing back together in August. Here it is November, still doing metal work on the cab, and it's now 30-40 during the day, and my shop stays that cold despite space heaters. The paint booth is heated, but it takes a while to warm up when it's 40 degrees. Plus, the body panels will be cold, so I'll be warming up the booth AND the panels for an hour or two before even turning on the compressor.

Where did the time go?

The Halfbacks keep moving into this area and love it , They move from Mn to Florida and find out just how hot it really is most of the year and they leave and move half way back to Mn and find Tn and our weather , 30 this morning and beautiful sunny day in the 50's today , Our snow 2-4" usually lasts 1 day before it melts

The seasons go quick, don't they? Haha. I was just posting to another winter related post how I've got no heat in my C20. I haven't had heat in the 22 years I've owned it and I've never really needed it. I've got a appointment for new exhaust on the 19th of this month and it's been at or below 30 lately. The cold dropped in earlier than usual. I'll be working on that heat issue over the winter months trying to figure out how to solve that. The slide switches and the faceplate need to be replaced in the dash. Anywho, you've got a nice collection there. Here's to hopin' spring arrives fast.

Re: Didn't i just get them out???

We went from above average to below average temps all a once. Leaves wee staying green, then a real cold snap brought out the colors. I had figured he leaves would turn brown and fall like MN. It was in he 90s a couple weeks ago. Cold and windy rain took he leaves all a once. This week is 30s-40s for the high.

I thought I hated salt, but brine makes it look good. At least with salt they'd wait till something happened. With brine they put it down when it 'might' snow. Not to mention it has a much bigger appetite for metal

So that's where they all are! Nice fleet but you can't possibly use them all. Do you?

Re: Didn't i just get them out???

Its a funny picture for us NW people ... Uh Oh here comes winter with the Minnesota snow and ice, might be a rough one! Its time to put away my beastly K20 Burb till spring.

Yes yes I know ... salts a killer. Too bad the best time to have a K truck is also the worst time to be driving a K truck.

Re: Didn't i just get them out???

One of the big reasons I live in southern California. If I want snow I can drive to all that I can handle in the mountains. If I don't want it I stay out of the mountains and go surfing at the beach. Even in the mountains they don't use any salt or chemical deicers for environmental reasons. Only sand. So those trips in the snow don't end up killing your truck.

Yeah, its a catch 22. I will drive the newer stuff, 90s models, and let them get all the abuse. Those can still be had for reasonable.

I hear ya. It would be hard to trade the 4 seasons we have here. Maybe in January my tune may change however...
