I'm in Savannah, GA for a two week class and spotted this USAF 2004 CUCV III Tahoe on Base:

Re: Cucv-iii usaf tahoe

My guess is its pretty much a Staff vehicle much like the M1009s were. Not even COMM gear being hauled so no need for any HD specs.

Yeah that is a cool rig...A 3/4 ton with a dmax and allison would be the ultimate adventure rig.... I like the flat green too...

Re: Cucv-iii usaf tahoe

One thing about it too, if it has spent its life in Savannah it has never seen ice or snow, much less salt . I grew up within 5 miles of where you made the picture! It is cool looking for sure!

Very cool, never seen one. Wonder what the round thing is next to the driver's side headlight?

Re: Cucv-iii usaf tahoe

I should have worded my post as I bet it has... I'm not surprised. It's not like the military places a huge order for specially prepared military spec Tahoes. It's just a base Tahoe that got upfitted with a few basic military necessities. It's neat.

Allows you to operate vehicle at night with no lights. Aka Blackout driving. Nightvision required. LoL
