Two reasons why I had to remove the seat springs from the foam. One you need the seat springs for the new foam, second reason the springs on the drivers side bottom distorts because of constant usage end and cause the foam to distort. The straight end is on passenger side were there is little usage and doesn't bend out of place. A small sledge hammer and vise is all it takes to straighten the spring, do not use heat to straighten spring because it is hardened spring steel and will break on constant usage. I took a couple of pics to show comparison.

I purchase the seat foam on Ebay from UHAUL parts house. Do not know if they them for bucket seats.

I don't like chains on my truck because on all my trucks they rattled and would always rub on my paint. I tried inner tubes, heavy walled triple sleeved heat shrink always rubbed through. I picked up some 1967 Ford F150 tailgate hinges for $10 on egay. Next, out came the Makita Grinder to chop them so here is my mod still have to do the passenger side but works perfect!
