Re: Fuel Gauge past full

Your gauge cluster going bad. More specificly the stepper motor on your fuel gauge. There are a few threads on the repair, hopefully someone can help with a link. I'm
on my phone and haven't quite got the copy/paste thing down yet.

Re: Fuel Gauge past full

I Always threw this out there the stepper motor is broke in the clutser you can buy them off ebay if your any good at soldiering takes a couple hours to do, What i do for work is order a re-manufactured cluster From Dorman products they run about 200-300 dollars you give them your vin and current mileage and and it comes preprogramed and has a lifetime warranty

Re: Fuel Gauge past full

That's what mine did when it went out. I went the DIY route and ordered the stepper motor and replaced it.

Re: Fuel Gauge past full

It took me 6 months to finally fix mine. I depended on the 'low fuel' light... It still worked regardless of needle postition. Also, the needle will eventually freeze and only move periodically... making it so you can't depend on the 'sweep' anymore to judge fuel level. I actually bought a pack of 6 stepper motors and only used two. If you need one, let me know.
