Re: Simply Orange 71

I know these pics are kind of out of order. The truck was in an accident so we are fixing it back up. Depot Customs is in the middle of the body work and my dad and brother are helping me redo the suspension. The person that had it before me lowered the truck but didn't do it right. Just heated the springs. I bought a lowering and handling kit from CPP which included 3 inch drop front springs 5 inch drop rear springs, sway bar front and rear and drop shocks front and rear. Then I bought a C notch kit along with 2.5 front drop spindles and 2 inch lowering blocks for the rear. The wheels are 20 inch american eagle 225 with nittos. It will be Squeeg's Kustoms satin finish top coat competition orange.

Set the box back on just to get an idea of what it would sit like

Still have the front suspension left to

Re: Simply Orange 71

Used Shineseal on the wheels today. I've read some good reviews on this stuff so I am excited to see if it works. Wheels look good though after hand polishing them.

Hoping the truck goes into primer by the end of the week and then get sprayed orange the next week!!!

Re: Simply Orange 71

Thanks guys. I used Squeeg's Kustoms satin finish top coat and it turned out nice! I wanted to do something a little different and I haven't really ever seen flat orange before, so I thought I'd try it.

Re: Simply Orange 71

Hi,
sorry for my english ; i'm from france, got a 70's C10 (you can see it on this forum - post "my C10").
your truck looks fine. so I need some help.
how much do you lower front and rear ?
i have a look on eckler's classic chevy truck - would like to order springs and shock absorbers, but don't know which ones.
question around wheels ==> mine are 6 lugs and it's difficult to find an internet site to choose and buy something ; can you drive me to a good one ?

can you answers on my post please ?
many thanks
Laurent

I order a lowering and handling kit from CPP. It is lowered 7 inches in the rear and 5 1/2 in the front. The kit comes with out the front drop spindles or drop blocks for the rear. It came with drop shocks and everything so it made it really easy!

This truck looks so clean. Really like the color. Is it flat or semi gloss?
