Re: My Chopped '55 Suburban

I'll have to say, those wheels blend in real well with the truck and work well with it. Just as with the old wheels you see a whole package and the truck doesn't look like it's the background for a wheel add.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: My Chopped '55 Suburban

I don't take photos of this truck that often anymore (probably cause i took a lot in the first 20 years). But finally pulled over and snapped one with the kids this weekend, still can't believe this build is 20 years old

Re: My Chopped '55 Suburban

That's when you know it is one of those timeless builds. I took the liberty of playing with the photo a bit to show more truck and less leaves and keep the character of the building intact. I like that rig better every time I see a photo of it. I had a 57 Panel back in the 70's that was a lot of fun.

Yea, I went and talked to Steve at EBMC as he does a lot of work with a buddies chassis company.....i totally respect his work, but he's a "do it all or nothing guy" and i'm not looking to drop another $50K into this thing. His work is absolutely stunning though.

I'll hit up Dominator....also have had good convo's with Hills Rod and Customs out of concord.
