AD Parts ID Please

These are some extra parts that came with my 54 GMC.
Why would someone cut the radiator hold down like this and is it Chevy or GMC?

What about the frame pic. Is it a GMC?

Thanks for any input, Rick

Re: AD Parts ID Please

It is cut not sure why they would do it.
Yes it is aGMC. The rad on the GMC chevy did not have a neck. Gmc rad sits flush in the support chevy sits in at the top but slightly slants out at the bottom. This is obtained by the way the flanges are welded on the rad. Also the part that goes up and over the rad is gmc only. There is part missing that looks like half bowl if you will. They are very hard to find

Re: AD Parts ID Please

Front crossmember is GMC. OOPs had to go back and read what you wrote but all of those pieces are GMC,

Re: AD Parts ID Please

Thanks Mr48Chev. That makes me feel better. I got this truck in pieces and am still trying to figure out what route to take. I'm slowly learning about the differences between Chevy to GMC. I realize now the hood and front fenders are different too. Thanks for the responses, Rick
