Re: drop spindle hitting crossmember

I would trim the just enough of the spindle or the crossmember to clear.
You shouldn't be at full lift like that very often.
The spindle casting looks really thick!
What brand are they?

Re: drop spindle hitting crossmember

The narrowed a-arm is getting you close.
Normally the top of the spindle will be nowhere near your crossmember

Re: drop spindle hitting crossmember

I take a "screen picture" with my phone or ipad and save it.
Then I transfer from my phone or ipad.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: drop spindle hitting crossmember

Instagram doesn't have a feature to "save this image".
So I just take a "screen shot" of the page.
Crop out everything but the picture and then transfer using the normal "manage attachments" feature here on the board.

I must not be awake yet SCOTI.
You had me totally lost. Ha

And.... I haven't been to bed yet. Bad weather in DFW + doing some testing = all nighter.
