I'm with you. These are cool as all get out, but I have no idea what I'd do with it or where I'd keep it. I think the plan is to get one first and the other will sort itself out. :-)

thanks guys preciate it. Definitely a labor of love. Regarding having enough room. You can never have enough room. You just have to have incredible organization skills.

Re: C50 Pick-up Drill Sergeant

Drill Sergeant Shines His Boots

In spite of what you may think by looking at it, that nasty looking motor has less than 5000 miles on it. It was in another truck before this one and I never did really clean up all the parts before installing the motor. It has been brought... to my attention, by many of my fellow brothers in Chevrolet, that my corporate GM blue engines are inappropriate for my builds. Normally I would dig my heels in however, recently I came to really like an orange Chevy motor. The blazer restoration that is in the shop right now is a frame off absolute restoration and the customer wanted the motor to be the original orange. After doing his motor I decided I like orange. Of course I had to make my own little adjustments but here it is. More pics to come of the big block power steering conversion to the small block.See more

bloody gorgeous! Orange is the ONLY GM engine color in my opinion. Like a jewel in the box.

Looks great. Glad you had a change of heart on the paint. Corporate Blue is an awful color

Re: C50 Pick-up Drill Sergeant

Moiving the thread and renaming it K20 Identity Crisis and it will be under 67-72 truck build. It is still the Drill Sergeant I just don't believe it belongs in the heavy haulers when the only thing that is C50 is the front sheet metal. If you would like to keep following this build that is where it will be. Following it on the signature.

If its a K20 it should be moved to the 4X4 builds section.

Re: C50 Pick-up Drill Sergeant

Still my favorite build regardless of where I have to go to see it. Orange is sweet. I like black, but I like subtle over flash. For a truck of your quality I get it though. Glad to see the update and as always your work is excellent.

yes I agree with you. I hate it when the pictures just disappear like that specially considering I pay $25 a month to be a gold member. You can always see all the pictures of our builds on Facebook. R tech fabrications.

What hosting site charges you $25 a month? I've been using photobucket for years for free with no lost pictures.

I was looking forward to the update too

McBassin - I was referring to the forum. I pay a monthly gold membership of $25.00 and now my pictures that are running in all my threads are basically gone. I will be contacting admin to find out what is going on, and hopefully everyone will be able to see the pictures again soon.

Re: C50 Pick-up Drill Sergeant

Drill Sergeant was the inspiration of my C50 project. Flipped front fenders on the bed are graffed in now just final filler and sanding. Making braces for the running boards now.

Thanks!

Incredible trucks all around. Randall love how top notch your builds really are, detail is number one for me and you always got it spot on. Amazing work!
