Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
I ordered some door panels from Roddoor last week (they should be in today) so I took my doors off so my son could paint them. I cut out the stencil and he painted and wet sanded them. Not to bad for an eight year old. Here's the outcome.

Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
I got my door panels yesterday from Rod Doors. I havn't installed them yet because I'm going with power windows (they havn't come in yet). I also want to move the door handles to another spot because there design insert is right on top of both the window and door handles. I thought I share picks of them straight out the box. They are a little pricy but well worth it. I'll buy them again if I ever build another truck.

Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
I buffed out my white wall tires that came with the s10 I bought. However, 2 of the tires had wider white walls than the others. I had some white wall paint I bought on ebay a while back and decided to give it a shot. I buffed out the letters on the black wall and painted away. Now I have three more to go. We plan on buy'n some new wheels for it, so these will be our stocks.

Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
I allways wondered how those panels were made, I wish they made more styles for our trucks. I like those but see them a lot. I may use them anyway.
how are they attached to the door? do they have clips on the back side?

Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
Hey Big Chevy, I'll catch up on sleep when I die. I wouldn't have gotten this far this quick if it weren't for my son bugging every day about the finish date on his truck. I use the build for therapy too, when I get flashbacks from Iraq. I go out to the garage and find something to do on my boy's truck. Helps to be alone out in the garage sometimes.

Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
My son and I are also working on HIS truck. He's in college so I don't get the pressure but the escape to the garage is great therapy too.

Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
You are not the only one who uses it for therapy and stress relief. I have a Valvoline poster in my garage, shows a pair of legs under a 70 SS Chevelle with the text "Some people have shrinks, I have my garage". BTW thanks for your service.

Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
Daniel, we were thinking of shoting down to Pismo this weekend and letting my little guy tear up the dunes on his dirtbike. I don't think I'm ready to get the GMC that far from the garage thou. I still have alot of wire'n and bolts to torque down. Hopefully by summer I'll have it closer to being done. Whats the word on your truck man? Do you think you'll have it finish by summertime? That thing is gonna win a sh!tload of awards when you get it done.

That truck looks GREAT. I just read the whole build and that was a really good thing that you did for your son. I have a lil girl and I hope that I can share that same experience some day.

Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
Here's some new pic's of my son's heap. This month makes it one year since we bought it. I bought a 54 Cadallac front bumper for it. Hopefully it gets here soon. I can't wait to finish up the front.

Re: Here's my GMC/S10 build
I just love this interior, and the whole theme, especially the shifter and floor mats. What are you going to use for ballast in the rear to offset the Caddy bumper!!!
