I have a 4" lifted one on my 73 Dana44 axle. I'd be willing to swap for a stock arm if you have one.
Hopefully this doesn't break the rules...

sorry - i cant help with an arm - but i am not aware that you need a lifted arm to enable a 4" inch lift to function . Please educate me on the changes required and possibly pics to enable an understanding of the change and geometry and the arm itself .

What's the general thought on this? Does a 4" lift need a lifted arm or should I just invest in a dropped drag link instead?

Appreciate any input from those that have done it both ways (only 4" lift responders please).

Drove my blazer fine with a 4" lift and stock steering arm.

You'll notice a lack of turning ratio when the suspension articulates, the 4" raised arm helps get the tires back to full turning side to side.

I have a 4in lift on my suburban when i was running the corp. 10 bolt front i used the raised steering arm and my truck basically extremely good for how big it is

I have heard some real horror stories about trying to get those arms off the axle housing .... will a drop drag link accomplish the same as a lifted arm?

I've replaced the drag link with a new one, so I know that it is fairly easy to replace that one again.

Your thoughts .....

I haven't heard much about having problems with taking them off both my trucks had them on so i didn't have to do it as for the drop drag link it will probably do the same thing

if you're still looking for a lifted steering arm, i have one $30.00 delivered. i was planning on using it on my blazer but ended up selling the lift kit and tires i was going to run.
