Re: 88 Crew cab dually

Thanks guys, I know its not a real big budget exciting build but I'm really happy with it. The speakers came out of a customers truck who decided to upgrade before i installed them so they were close to free

Joe, I did fiberglass the kickpanels. No problems with leg space but it is really close to the e-brake pedal.

Re: 88 Crew cab dually

So I think I've decided to sell, I'm going to buy the family a small camper, and some dirt bikes so hopefully selling will get me a good start. If it doesnt sell no big deal I really dont mind holding onto it

Re: 88 Crew cab dually

well the truck hasnt sold yet so I figured I'd get a couple of small things done. Today I built a sub box, and finally got around to doing the door bottoms.

I think this week I'll try to get a pinstripe on it, maybe get some new exhaust if I can collect some money from some people. I gotta figure out what kind of mufflers I want to run, I dont want anything really loud but I like to be able to hear a nice idle

Re: 88 Crew cab dually

Well it looks like I am going to be able to keep the dually, finally bought a place we could afford with a little more room. Needs a little work but that's jsut fine by me.

I ordered a tonneau cover and some flowmasters this weeks, should have that stuff installed early next week. Talked to my transmission guy and he is starting to build me a stout 700 to make it a little easier to drive.

Thanks, I dont have dimensions but I'll get you some this weekend. That box is coming out though, I just built a box for my dads 93 with a tw5 JLAudio sub (I get them wholesale)and it sounds way better than mine so I think I am going to swap mine as soon as I have a few extra $$. Here is a picture of my dads truck, just got it lifted and will be going to paint real soon

Re: 88 Crew cab dually

Cool
nice truck!
I like the blue!
I picked up a Fosgate P3SD410 last weekend. It came with a small sealed box that I was able to put under my center console, but when I put in my '07 seats I will need to build a box to fit behind the back seat of the crew. As you know, there isn't much room back there. I was surprised to find that the box from my regular cab wouldn't fit back there

Not sure I'll be doing much more with it, I'm still debating selling it for 96+ dually or 2wd tahoe.

Not a thing. I signed a ton of work that I didn't think I was going to get so I've been working 7 days a week the last couple months. I'm going to try to get the 4-ling finished this week with any luck, then its off for paint.

I think the rear's were 235-85 and there might have been another off size mixed in with the others . No helper bags yet, but I will add some, I'm still deciding if I want to bag the front or not. The rear is just a flip kit with the overloads removed so the pumpkin is only about 2-3" from the bed floor. I dont have any pics of the inner fender area specificly but I will try and get some for you this weekend. If you need anything else just let me know.

Re: 88 Crew cab dually

Im bringing this back from the dead! Decided to keep this truck and have started bagging. I dont want to hack up the bed so i ordered an air over leaf from ridetech, and am just goingo to use a simple bag/cups in front. Slow progress because the garage at the new house is aweful so I am forced towork in the driveway, damn fall weather Ive got the compressor, air lines... done Im just waiting on a nice day to get the bag brackets mounted. Hopefully Ill have some updated pics by the end of the week.

I think I might ditch the smoked lenses now, swap the phantom grille for the 88-91 GMC grille too. Any opinions?
