The front is a 3" spindle and about 1.5 cut coils and the rear is a flip with the overload removed.

Actually with a one ton the flip gets about 8" , I think mine came down 9" with the overload removed.

I should have a new (in the box) LMC replacement GMC grille. Chrome outer, charcol grey center w/the pad for the GMC emblem. I don't have the headlight bezels though....

Shoot me a price. Does anyone make a gmc grille without the gmc pad?

Re: 88 Crew cab dually

I think Carriage Works still makes a billet insert for it. That looks good (at least to me). That was my plan with the dually, anyhow.

LMC lists a billet but I was hoping to find a factory style grille without the pad. Hmmm

They do offer one but it's all chrome.

I dont see that in my catalog? All I can find is the insert that installs in the factory grille?

Well heck.... I went & searched & they no longer offer that 'exclusive' chrome version. I guess I've got a collectors item!

I orignally ordered what I thought was going to be a chrome outer, charcol grey inner, no emblem pad grille. What came had the emblem pad.

It turns out their 'exclusive' no emblem-pad grille was all chrome. I didn't want all chrome but I have never seen the fit quality of billet grilles for these grilles & didn't want to fork over the $$ only to have something I didn't care for (I absolutely hate billet grille inserts that are not 100% perfectly straight, every last piece....).

So I made my own no emblem grey center grille.....

Re: 88 Crew cab dually

Finished up most of the bags this weekend. I left 3 leaves in the spring pack but I think I may pull one more and add a 1" lowering block to see if I can get the back down just a bit more. The front is a different story though, I'm either going to have to cup the factory control arms or pony up for some tubular arms because the bags are bottomed out. I'm leaning toward some porterbuilt arms, I'm just not sure if I want get uppper and lowers and have them narrowed or just get some lowers. I still have some wiring to clean up, cover the air line in spots it might rub ...

Anyway, I also swapped out the tinted lenses for factory stuff.

Re: 88 Crew cab dually

Adam,... the dually looks good!
You might look at the new PB tubular a-arms that Nate is now making.
He has a set that move the front wheel centerline "forward" to help center the wheels in the wheel opening.
I believe he can also narrow or lengthen a set also.

I wouldn't look any where else,... except Porterbuilt Fabrication.

Looks good.

Keep us posted on how the Accuair stuff works, and a real-world opinion on air-over-leaf would be good too.

I talked with Nate last week about his control arms and I'm just not sure which way to go. I really dont want to spend $1300 on arms when I can get the stock arms cupped for a couple hundred bucks. After some thinking about the final outcome of the truck I dont think I can justify the money for 22" wheels/adapters/tires so I wont need the narrowed arms. I think I may just order the lowers from Nate and save some of that money for some 16" alcoas and new tires.

It may be a while, I didnt notice the tires I have are pretty dry rotted so it may be parked for winter.
