I bought the seat frame for my 80 c10 (baby steps) but was thinking about doing both of my trucks.

the NOS fabric is going to be the tough part of that one.. very unique and the only material left that I found and what I've read is at SMS..

and no repop that I was able to find, although SMS reps will say they are, it's not even close to the metallic OE fabric..

my experience with Doug and company was less than pleasant to say the least as well as some others have stated likewise, but some say they fared alright with them..

I'd love to help out the folks looking for a deluxe seat cover but I'm guarding this one with my life and not a chance in Hades I'd pull it off for anything..

It has a little recline like the stock seat does. It go on how tall is someone.

It's the original seat reupholstered with material from KOVI through Amazon. Shop here in Reno did the upholstery, I installed carpet from ACC. Seatbelts are RetroBelts from Summit Racing.

Here's the seat in my 64. Definitely not for everyone but I'm old and grew up in the days of Paisley Print, Bell Bottoms & Nehru Collars. The seat is actually darker than it looks in the pictures.

So I live less than 100 miles from SMS. Maybe I'd have better luck dealing with them in person? Also, do you happen to know what fabric specifically I'd be looking for, for my '66? It looks like they tried to throw several incorrect samples your way. I'd want to go into it armed and ready.

well you're in luck, sort of..

I can't find the sample sheets with all the pieces stapled to them, just the scanned images..

but I ran by the upholstery shop this evening and he still had a remnant of the metallic fabric..

the solid fawn and ivory are probably not that difficult to identify, I can take better pictures if needed..

but I'd be happy to loan out this sample if you want to take it with you for a match..

I certainly hope you would get better service in person, but might want to call ahead to verify he's there..

I do want it back for future reference for other folks though.. just let me know..
