5.3 swap with a/c

I have a sanden compressor now with my vintage a/c and going to do a 5.3 swap. should I use the factory compressor or use the sanden? also should I use one of the relocation brackets and move it to the pass side top? and help or advice appreciated.

Well a stock compressor probably isn't cheap so if you're looking for brackets that fit the sanden go here, don't spend a mint on billet-y bling.

www.kwikperf.com

nice guys too, they just do this on the side for fun.

yes thats the brackets I was looking at. heres the deal I have a sanden compressor now also the 5.3 swap I am buying also has a factory compressor so do I use the factory? or do I use the sanden and buy the brackets? I want to know the best way. also if I use the sanden I have I will have to change the clutch to a serpentine.

Re: 5.3 swap with a/c

I used the 4.8 compressor with some Doc's Bloks and I still had to clearance the frame rail. I would do the Sanden and the Kwik Performance brackets, looks good and performs very well with the sanden compressor. Sell the LS compressor and it will pay for about half of the cost of the Kwik Performance mount. You can get a ribbed clutch from VA for about $100.00. Doing it this way will not be the cheapest. however If I had to do it all over again, it is the way I would go for looks and useability.
