Motorhome TILT???

I bought a MINT Tilt column out of a Motorhome yesterday. It has the pointer, virtually no chips and it even has the cruise stalk on it. I noticed that the shaft is the same legnth as my truck tilt but the shift arm coming from the bottom of the column looks different. Will it work or what do you have to do. I did see that I have to move the N.S.Switch down. Waiting for battery to charge on digi cam. Will post pics tommorrow...

Thanks!
Joe

Check out Lokar. They have a universal auto trans column linkage. It has heim joints, threaded rod and the bracket that attaches to the selector stud on the side of the tranny. It's a clean looking setup.

I've done the motorhome column swap on my truck.

Mine needed the neutral switch moved, then straight bolt in.

Intermediate shaft didn't need shortening like a van column would.

No shifter arm mods or anything like that needed on the one I did.

just like vans, the motorhome coulmns go all the way up into the early 80's.

The one I put in was out of an 82 motorhome.

Plenty of motorhomes get parted out. Just like the one I got my column out of. It had 32k original miles on it and a mint 454 engine I got too.

Re: Motorhome TILT???

5 hrs. You made good time getting that out.

I pulled this short floor shift colum from a rv a few yrs ago. Being short it provides a lil' more beer belly / arm room.
It bolted rite in too. The only mod needed was pulling the intermittent shaft out slighly, removing a spot welded clamp bracket and the harness adapter. Well worth the $10. I gave for it.

Subscribed. I've seen a few motor homes in the past, but never thought of looking in them
