Transparent

I am working on a new logo for my site,HOw do I save the thing tarnsparent background? I go to File>Save AS> name file,choose "GIF" opens box with tranparency checked,and save right?

ALways has a white background

WHat am I missing here?

Save as a .psp i think, if your using photoshop. That way if you have layers it keeps all your layers, and keeps them exactly like they are.

I was trying to get it to a usable web format,and still be transparent.

Brainchild, You have to remember that if you open the file and look at in PS it will have a background althought its not really there?!?!?!?! Have you tried placing the logo over something with in your web page. If not try it and see if the background is missing.

Yeah I think I figured it out.I had the matte box checked,I unchecked it an it saved it transparent
