My new wheels

Finally got them the other day. I took a few pictures during lunch, i'll try to take some more over the weekend of the inside of the truck and the engine bay etc. These are 38 x 15.50 x 16 MTZ's on Weld Cheyenne 8 16 x 10 wheels. They ride great and are not noisy at all, but I can't here much cause of the exhaust anyway.

Re: My new wheels

Those look good!
How much lift do you have? Do they scrub any when turning?

Re: My new wheels

I have about 9" of lift. They don't rub when turning, I have not flexed it yet to see if they will hit but it may hit slightly

Re: My new wheels

Those rims and tires look great. Your last photograph really shows how beautiful the 69-72 wheel wells are. The wheel wells just look right! Can't beat the lines of a 69-72 K5!

Re: My new wheels

Sweet ride, really like the ladder bars. You must have remortgaged the house for those wheels and tirs

That pic goes in my fav. file J.

Looks AWESOME!!!

Does the orange paint have metallic, or is it just the glare from the sun?

Re: My new wheels

Me again, I just noticed you have the paint name on the bottom of the pic.
I was wondering if you have a part # for the ladder bars or manf. name.
Once again, awesome ride!!!!!!!!

Re: My new wheels

Thanks for all the compliments. The paint is a pearl, and I used an orange base as opposed to a white base like House of Colors suggests. I liked it before too, but those swampers rode like crap and there are not many choices for radials with a 16.5 rim that I liked.

the ladder bars are made by a company called fabretech, I believe national wheel and tire sell them. The company is out of Virginia. They don't work very well because of the way they mount to the axle. They do not keep the axle from wrapping. I am either going to fab up a new mounting position or sell them and build my own that work
