winshield washer does not work-- 06 Silverado

I never needed the windshield washer since I bought my truck last year and now I notice when I twist the deal to turn it on ..nothing happens.
I filled the tank but thats as far as I have gone to see what the problem is .

any ideas from you all other than take it in to the dealer to trouble shoot this .

Mine did the same thing. The hose from the bottom of the fluid reservoir was cracked. Went to NAPA and got a rubber hose for about 2 bucks. I had to take my battery off to fix it, but it was better than getting charged $80 an hour for the dealer to figure it out.

thanks ,,but before I take the things apart can you answer me this and maybe save me some time .. If the hose beneath the fluid reservoir is cracked ,,should all the liquid be gone from the reservoir? Mine is full and has been full for a long time anyways..

Does the washer motor make a noise when you try the washer?

Mine held fluid, but nothing would come out at the wipers. I'm guessing whenever I tried to use it, it just shot all the fluid out of the hole.

pull the inner fender and pull the plug off the washer motor and i use either test light or a mutlineter and have someone push the washer button and see if you are getting power at the motor if not it could be a fuse, if you are it probleya bad motor
