New Project Truck !!!!!!

I just bought a 1971 GMC Custom K2500, 3/4 ton 4x4.
It has the following

350/350, NP205, Dana 60 rear with factory limited slip, Dana 44 HD front. AC cab with all related equipment, New radiator, recent tranny, unilite distributor, cross bed toolbox etc.

The body is in good shape except for the drivers side front fender. The floor and cab supports are solid, the cab corners are intact. It has some surface rust in areas where paint is bad. The rockers don't have any holes, but I'm sure that they will need replacement after a few taps with a hammer (they always do).

Well the best thing about this truck is that I bought it for $750.00 and drove it 110 miles home. A big thank you needs to go out to Chevypete396 for posting the information about the truck and then calling me to give me the owners phone number. I tell you what, this message board is GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!

There are a lot of trucks and parts available in my area. I will try to return the favor by posting information about the things I find.

Good deal for $750. That looks like it'll be fun to play with. Any plans?

Wow! That’s a great looking truck for $750. I hate getting involved in deals where I know nothing about the truck and its such a relief for me that it came out ok and that the truck found a good home. Have fun with it and keep us posted… Pete.

close ups

Great find. I sure would like to see a close up of that passenger side mirror. It looks like a sport mirror with larger mirror tripod attached (a little amusing). Enjoy your project.
