power steering hose

Does any company make the right power steering hose for a 72 402 suburban. I keep getting the small block style and they wont work. I had a hose custom built by a hydraulic shop but would like to put the right one in.

Too many to list

Re: power steering hose

I have gone thru AutoZone and Advanced autoparts and have hit LMC and classictrucks and those all are for the small blocks. They will work with adapters and bending, but leave no room the big block has a long tube that runs along the fram to steering box. The ac delco may work if it is not used for small blocks. The parts guys keep telling me it should fit and thats what the parts list says and there is no difference between big blocks and small blocks. Which most have found that the computer just dont know right from wrong at times with parts. The local Gm dealer shows two part numbers for the hoses but only one is in existance now which is small block. They also tell me the suburban uses different parts then the trucks which proves they never work on any in thier lives. Just wondering if anyone else ran into same problem and actually found the right hose.
