Joined the squarebody club !!!

Just added a new member to the family, its a 1977 heavy half. This should make the perfect weekend hauler. 1st thing I need to do is address the ride height...

O I C....So you turn the hat upside down and clip it in up there and it holds it? Very few people up here wear those type hats. I wear a baseball style cap with the JEGS logo, and sometimes I just lay it on the dash....

Re: Joining the squarebody club !!!

So, let's hang the hats up and get back to the truck. What kind of drop are you planning. Bags or static? I can't wait to see it, this is already a nice looking truck. Any engine mods planned? What's in it now?

Static drop I'm thinking 4/6 or maybe 5/7, I want to get as low as I can but still be able to haul some junk or pull a trailer.

Right now its got a healthy 350 with a mild cam, holly carb, and full length headers. Future plans would be something fuel injected.

Yea I agree, I really want to put the stock trim back on it.

The paint looks ok from 15' but its really not done very well, I think if I try to pull that trim its gonna bring some paint with it. I don't want to have to re-paint it any time soon so I just haven't had the guts to try it.

That trim could very well pull off some paint. Doesn't sound too easy to switch back without some work and $. I think it would look better too with the proper trim.
