Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

This was the first of many full loads of sand, then gravel.
Next go round I need to get some LT rated tires, wasn't feeling very comfortable hauling on these P rated ones, kind of scary. It takes a bit of weight to make a C-20 squat like that.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Here are some pics of mine. First one is when I tore down a deck that was 6 feet wide by 65 feet long, this was the whole deck in the back of my truck on the way to the dump.

This is when I had a load of gravel that weighed in at 3520 pounds:

Here is the slip from the quarry for the load of gravel:

I know that this isn't a 67-72 but here is a pic of my 01 tahoe hauling my sister in law's jeep when it broke down. I would have used my truck to haul it, but I had too many passengers and needed more room

I have more pictures around, I'll have to find them.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Here's my 68 C20 with a 5.3/4l60e. Hauling Vtx1800 in the bed and a 5500 lb travel trailer from Arkansas to Arizona and back. Power steering hose started leaking was the only problem on the trip. Radiator leaked while working in Phoenix, replaced it. And fixed a flat tire had a nail in it. Good trip.

When got back, hauled a bunch of pine trees I cut down to the burn pile, drug the logs around with a chain to the hitch. No pics of that.
Classic Working trucks rule.

Well, mine is being hauled, by....another . Back in the summer when I hauled it to my uncle's house to begin working on it. It motivates nicely on its own now though.

I had a sheet of plywood down under the gravel to keep from scraping up the floor, a full tank of gas, me, my son, and a friend with me in the cab so that is about an extra 700 pounds. I think it weighs in right around 4100 pounds empty.

I wish I had pictures of when I was younger my mom and dad hauled some pretty crazy loads with my truck before I took it over. I know back when I helped my dad with hanging drywall he sent me from Truckee to the Reno Home depot to get some drywall (70 Mile round trip, with a mt pass on I-80 somewhere around 6000 ft elevation) I had the sheet rock stacked about a foot over the the top of the bedsides (I think I had 65 sheets) and they were 12 foot sheets. I just googled it and they weigh 84 pounds per sheet X 65 sheets = 5460 pounds! This was back when my truck had a 351 V6 in it, and it pulled the pass with 6% grades doing 65 all the way. Keep in mind I was 17 at the time . Another time when I was 15 my mom drove to the gravel yard and we had the loader load it till it squatted good, when we weighed out it had over 5000 pounds in it. Good times!
