manual/automatic
I'm wondering what everyone perfers to drive an automatic or stick. personaly i like to drive a stick

Auto in trucks, stick in cars. The reason I like stick is because I like a nice short quick throw; something you can't get in a truck with a long shifter.

I'd rather drive a stick, but my 72 is an auto..

I prefer Stick but since both my 68 C10 and my 02 Z are autos, I have to live w/ Auto's for now... I am still trying to decide whether to put a BW T56 6 Speed, or Richmond 6 Speed or even a 700R4 in the 68 C10.. I cannot decide...

Stick! I drove a stick for so many yrs,that I just dont have fun with an auto trans. I will be taking out a perfectly good 400 t to install a 6 spd ROD. that old truck has needed 1 more gear to grab since I set up the 4.10 gears, & after looking at all the options, Im going to install the gearbox that i really want! Tax return is history

They each have there advantages, but sometimes you get tired of shifting gears, but a 4 gear is lots of fun!!
as for the auto its laid back cruzin, and with a stall, and a trans brake, it can be made to do what ever you wish.... As for me I wish I had both

When I bought my truck it was a stick. After 8 or so years of that crap I went to a th350. Now I wonder why it took so long to switch.

3 speed on the tree in my 69, th350 auto in my 72. 3 speed is more fun to drive (sometimes), auto is noce to relax and not have to wory about down shifting at stops, no clutch to hold in.
