I hate heaters
So before I start working on my truck tomorrow to fix the heater, I start working on my other truck. I accidentally put a hole in the heater box in the engine compartment. There was an AC piece of something screwed to it and I got caught on it on my down and it tore a hole in the black box.
Is it water tight in there or can I just patch it up without worrying about anything leaking? I have the piece and I think that with the right stuff, I could make it water tight. I am assuming that this thing holds water but I don't know that for sure, I know that it seems to be sealed all of the way around. Thanks for the help guys.

That a/c thing isn't water tight, it has a drain in the bottom of it. The a/c thingy inside condensates bigtime against the hot air, so the water has to go somewhere. I'd say you can patch it and be fine, just make sure it won't suck any hot engine air in.
