Question Stock steering column wiring........ what color wires do what?

Hey folks,

I have a stock 57' column that I installed in my truck. The wire colors are white, purple, pink, dark blue, yellow and light blue on the column harness. What function do the colored wires corrispond to? I am aware that turn signals and such were an "option" during the 50's. I have the factory assembly manual and cannot seem to locate these wires and their functions.

I think I got this off of the tri-five forum when I installed my factory style turn signal switch.
