1972 Tow Hooks

Original
I've had these for over 30 years. Came off my '72 GMC. They are in excellent condition. I used a wire brush wheel and cleaned them up back in '99, painted them, put them in storage and have never re-installed them. All the original mounting gear comes with them... bolts, and nuts.

The paint has chip marks on them from transporting them in a few different moves over the years.
I can get photos up in the next couple of days.

Extreme bend.

Re: 1972 Tow Hooks

Here are some photos of the hooks, original bolts and washers. Plus a receipt when I bought the paint to paint them with... my memory failed me, I thought it was '99 when I did this, but it was August of 2000 (memory not to bad I guess after 12 years).

Each hook, bolt & threads, and washers were completely cleaned from all dirt and grime with a power brush wheel mounted on a bench. I sprayed them with primer (which is what each bolt is still in), and black paint on the hooks.

Then I moved shortly after and all this stuff when into storage. Since then they have been moved a few times and as the photos show some paint chipping because of it.

If I were to keep them I would do the whole process over and this time get them on my truck. If I still had the truck.

Yes they would.
I actually thought about having them dipped in chrome to match the front bumper.

$500 firm

not all pitted up like a lot of these are.
paint is chipped up but only needs to be repainted, or dipped in chrome.
