S10 Blazer/Typhoon

Anybody collect the S10 Blazer/Typhoon diecasts; 1:64 scale?
Here's the few that I have. They all Johnny Lightning; from the Forever 64 Series. The white one is the only one that came with rubber tires. All have opening hoods.
They're supposed to be '92-'93.

Re: S10 Blazer/Typhoon

I guess I never took notice of those,if I ever saw them. I don't think I've ever seen any, though. I have thought about these not getting enough attention as a stand-out performance vehicle in the modern era. There were model kits and that's about all I've seen. Those re cool. I'll watch out for those now.

Now,about that truck in your avatar. Got details? Maybe in another thread?

Re: S10 Blazer/Typhoon

Here's a pic of the GMC Typhoons carded. They usually cost about $3.50 at Walmart. There are several more colors, that I don't have.

Here's a pic of the orange '56 Flashsider also. I took the wheels; with rubber tires; from a Hot Wheels Dodge Power Wagon. The snowplow was taken from an M2 Machines '56 Ford F150. I just superglued it on; had to grind that area flat. I changed the original black windows to the orange. I think I'm gonna do some paint detailing on the lights and chassis too.

Re: S10 Blazer/Typhoon

That thing is cool!! Thanks for the Typhoon info. I saw somewhere that the Johnny Lightning stuff was made by Tomy/Tomica,which would explain the quality and detail. I have some later-70s Stepsides (older production) by Tomy and they look right at home next to my JL Blazers
