Radiator Queston

I pulled the radiator out of my '70 because the PO installed one that was obviously out of a different truck and found a replacement from a board member. Perhaps I am crazy but it seems that one side is for a 4 core and the other side is for a 3 core, is that possible?

Here are some pics, notice the gap between the core and the edge on the cap side vs. the opposite side. Also my 3 core brackets fit the driver side but are too short for the passenger side, as well as it does not seat well in the support on the passenger side. Any thoughts?

Re: Radiator Queston

Your radiator has two different tanks. The side with the radiator cap is a 4 row tank but only uses 3 rows of it. The other side is a 3 row tank. The actual core is a 3 row.

Yes it will be difficult to mount correctly that way.

I have a 3 row radiator in my 72 with 4 row tanks. It has all the hardware for a 4 row radiator.
