That is a pretty hard question to answer. in order to know, you would have had to install kits from several manufacturers on the same truck with the same tires and wheels.

These will be your softest, flexiest options. But for off the shelf, direct bolt on springs, it's hard to beat the ride of Tuff Country springs.

Skyjacker, Superlift, and Rough Country are all pretty well known to ride pretty stiff.

52s are rear pickup/Blazer/Jimmy springs up to '88 truck & '91 Blazer/Jimmy. 62s are rear springs off an '88 or newer truck/Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon. www.offroaddesign.com for the shackle flip

Also www.diy4x.com for another shackle flip option and the B52 brackets up front.

Re: Whats the softest Riding 4 inch lift ?

You can also have custom springs made to YOUR specs by Alcan or Deaver.

I also am thinking about 52s up front is anyone running 38s and 52s up front if so what lift 52 are you running and did you fan your own brackets or purchase the kit from diy4x? I have stock 52s but I don't think it will clear 38s or even a wider set of 35s

Re: Whats the softest Riding 4 inch lift ?

Depending on the condition of the springs, they normally get around 4-4 1/2" of lift. I ran 38.5" boggers with 4", but cut the crap out of the fenders...

Also don't need a kit to run 52s, move the forward spring mounts forward, it all bolts in....

But doesn't that locate the tire forward or back in the fender well ?

Absolutely, but you still have to address the rear shackle mount location for the optimal ride and flexibility. This is even more important on the 67-72 than the 73-87 due to the even shorter factory front springs. Going with the B52s just allows more adjustment to fine tune your axle location and shackle angle. And the 67-72 B52 kit includes the shackle mount, optional for the 73-87 trucks.

Yes. 67-72 springs are 44" 73-87 springs are 47", this mod puts 52" up front. All springs have centered locating pins. Going forward ~3-4" would keep the axle located in the same place, but generally, if you intend to use your truck offroad you will want to go even farther forward for more tire clearance at the firewall/rear of fender. With the longer flexier springs, as your suspension compresses, your axle will move rearward towards the firewall farther than the stock springs. Also it gives your more front driveshaft length for a better angle, less wear on u-joints and less binding.
