Match fawn interior

I know this has been covered, but apparently my search skills suck as I wasn't able to find the info.

What is a good "spray bomb" match to the original 64-66 fawn interior paint??

Re: Match fawn interior

I believe Krylon Brushed Metallic Satin Champagne Nouveau is a good match to the factory fawn colour.
This thread may also be of help, post #5 has a few rattle can suggestions but the Champagne seems to be the closest match.

FYI, I had a hard time finding that Champagne Nouveau color, but finally did at a Michael's craft store.

Re: Match fawn interior

yeah walmart quit carrying that color, so you would have to try on line, and I think I saw it at michaels too.

Re: Match fawn interior

See this thread - post #11. Forum member theastronaut has a talent for making things look original. The photos of the interior of the truck he restored look as close to the original as I could ever want. The color is 2003 Nissan Sunlit Sand.

Re: Match fawn interior

The Satin Nickel is quite close to the factory fawn metallic as well.

Re: Match fawn interior

If you want to save a little money, go to a www.autocolorlibrary.com they have the codes for the original color, I think a qt mixed up was $28.00, buy a cheap spray gun and paint away. Ditzler is now PPG so it is easy to find a paint store that can mix the interior colors (they just have more thinner in them to make them come out flat) Kieth
