68 Grill Turn Signal mounting help?

Ok I think I maybe figured out what I have been missing. I asked you guys before where to mount my turn signals and you told me right in the grill but I could not find any mounting holes in my grill. I think I maybe am missing 2 grill inserts? do all 68 grills use the inserts? The 2 pictures are from ebay and the green truck is my grill and truck. If that is how they mount I have to find the inserts? can you guys help me out did all trucks use the inserts?
Thanks
Chad

Yes, you are missing the grille inserts. They are different. The "bottom one" has the indents for the turn signals. Every single 67/68 C10 to C30 Chevrolet truck used them.

You can see my grille going back together piece by piece here:

Re: 68 Grill Turn Signal mounting help?

Thank you that is what I needed to see! now it is back to where we took the truck apart back in the late 80's early 90's to see where we put them! Wish I would have asked this the correct way before I could have found them and had them painted by now! Thanks
Chad

No problem.

As far as color, they were originally painted black, but on your green truck I think they would look much better white or even painted green to mach.

Best of luck finding them.

I think they would really pop with the green if they were painted argent. That's just my .02 though. Good luck with your hunt for them

The front was originally white grill and white around the head lights but we decided to go all green!
