Bad repro rubber parts??
Is this just something we have to live with these days? (OR pony up and buy NOS?)
I put in a rubber fuel filler grommet on. PO did not have one after painting the truck. Less than ONE MONTH later the thing had started to weather check and crack. I looked at it today and the thing looks like in another few months it will completely fall off the truck. Same thing with my door handle gaskets. Seriously, do they think we will not pay another 5 bucks for quality? I am sure this has been ranted about enough before. On that same note, is there anybody who sells door handle gaskets and fuel filler grommets that are NOT complete garbage?

Re: Bad repro rubber parts??
Wes, member ClassicHeartbeat has what you need for better fuel tank grommets. As far as door handle gaskets, nothing better than NOS unfortunately.

Can't be ranted on enough. I'm really looking forward to the 3d printers to come down in price. More people can manufacture and use quality ingredients, that last. OR... mix your own rubber and print your own gaskets.... I can't wait. I really hope in the future of 3D printing puts a stop to this "Chinese crap circus".

Jeff, it is bad enough that these products are made, but I think it is even worse that vendors sell this stuff knowing it will fail and look like crap pretty much instantly. These fuel filler grommets aren't the easiest to install. In a few more weeks it will rot off anyway so that part will be easy.
