washer nozzles

I'm planning on adding a windshield washer
to my 53 pickup and would like to find some
chrome spray nozzles.

no problem finding black plastic, or those chrome plastic LED
ebay jobs, but would like to find something better without the
lights.

Any ideas?

You know,
I looked at those but I'm not familiar with the
mounting option.

Do they just screw through a thickness of sheet metal,
or do they need another part to fasten to?

I can fabricate a nice mounting collar if necessary, but what
is used to fasten the hose to?

Is the aim point straight sideways, with the top being a slot
for a screw driver?

On the 55-66 trucks those nozzles screw into the bezels around the wiper shaft at the base of the windshield. Does your truck have a small screw in each bezel that doesn't seem to do anything?

mine is a 53

Missed the 53. It might be easier to drill and tap the 53 bezel on the side. here is picture of 53 and 59 bezels, nozzle is on the side, that is why the squirter hose is on the side of the nozzle, to adjust in and out angle. You will need to figure out how to get the supply tube to it too. Or you could add one like the third picture.

that actually gave me an idea to try...
I like that wiper bezel from my 53, and I can turn and polish a stainless
piece to resemble the wiper bezel but drill it out to use as my
nozzles.

I put the nozzle right on the drivers wiper arm. If you find this acceptable, get a rear window washer nozzle and hose off of an S10 blazer and secure it to the drivers wiper arm (you have to drill a tiny dowel hole and it snaps on). I use the rear window nozzle because it squirts down and across, because of this I find I only need one washer nozzle and the hose already has a grommet for passing thru the cowl. I also used the pump, reservoir, and switch off of an S10.

Good idea, just about any SUV has a rear wiper nozzle mounted to the arm. I used the rear tank and motor from a dodge caravan for mine.

where/how does the hose come thru the cowl?

my linkage is pretty tight where the wiper shaft
exits the cowl

Here's a picture of my wiper arm mounted washer nozzle. The grommet is fused to the hose just as it came off the S10 Blazer. I put the nozzle on the bottom of the arm, but you can mount it on top. I think I remember enlarging the holes for more flow. '54 3100, I guess it would be called a rat rod right now.

well,
I decided if I had to drill holes for the washer nozzles,
that I should make some nice stainless steel ones.

Should never need to be replaced. I aimed them toward the center
of the glass and tested them in the sink.
.020 inch holes seems to work well.
